Delete your Design Link account
You can ask us to delete your Design Link account and the personal data linked to it at any time. You do not need to give a reason.
Option 1: in the Design Link app
- Open the Design Link app and sign in.
- Tap More, then Admin & Settings.
- Tap Privacy & Data, then Delete my account, and confirm.
You will get an email confirming the date your data will be deleted.
Option 2: by email
If you can't sign in, or no longer have the app, email [email protected] with the subject "Design Link — DPDP Request (account deletion)".
Send it from the email address on your account and tell us your firm's name. We may ask you to confirm the request before acting on it. Never send us your password or a one-time code.
What happens next
30-day grace period. Your deletion is scheduled for 30 days after your request. Your account keeps working until then, so you can change your mind: contact us before that date to cancel.
After 30 days your personal data (name, email, phone, photos, location records and similar) is deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be linked to you.
What we have to keep
Some records must be kept by law even after an account is deleted. We keep them only in anonymised form, and only for as long as the law requires:
- Financial and payroll records (for example salary slips and invoices): up to 7 years.
- Security audit logs: up to 8 years.
If your firm gave you your account
Most Design Link accounts are created by an employer. Deleting your account removes your personal data from Design Link. Your firm may still hold its own employment records about you outside Design Link; ask your firm's administrator about those.
